Sydney: The 14 Hour Flight

On November 19-23, I was able to travel to Sydney, Australia during Thanksgiving Break. I am very thankful that I was able to travel this year and I hope that you will some day too! If you ever get the chance to visit Sydney, you will love it. It is a lot like New York City and Philly. It also has a nice atmosphere when you explore for the first time.

I was still in school when I left, so I had to miss a few days, but it was worth it. We had to travel for at least 20 hours and if I didn't leave on the 19th then we wouldn't have much time in Sydney. Since I live in Florida, we had to fly to Phoenix, Arizona first, and then Las Angeles before getting to Sydney. The flight from Tampa to Phoenix took around 4 hours, so it wasn't that bad. Taking those short trips helped the three of us prepare for what is to come.

After landing in L.A. we had to stay at LAX for 4 hours. Thankfully, it went by fast, because I wanted to get this 14 hour flight over with. It was finally time to board the plane. My sister got the window seat for the entire flight and I got the middle, which was not fun. I didn't complain, because I was going to freakin Sydney! I mostly slept and read some books on the plane. I tried to watch a movie, but I quickly lost interest. I started watching "Tolkien". It was good, but I just wasn't interested in watching a movie at that time. I mostly watched a few episodes of "Friends" and new episodes of "The Crown", but I took short naps here and there.

I think shows are more fun to watch, even though I want to be a film director when I'm older, I should be more into films, right? I am, it's just not every single movie catches my eye. I can be very picky with what movies I like/want to watch. Lol.

Dinner came and I had a strange meal. I could not finish it. It didn't taste bad, it just had a bad smell to it. I forgot what I had, but I remember there being cornmeal and some kind of meat with vegetables. I only ate a little bit of it.

The rest of the flight wasn't very interesting. It was just an average flight.
