Cathedral Cove

On our second day in Auckland, New Zealand, we took a very long hike and we made it to a beach called Cathedral Cove.

The hike was not fun for me, but it was very worth it. There are mostly hills on the way up. and as you get closer, there are some steps to climb on. It's mostly just hills and what an average mountain would have if you climbed one before.

Finding a place to park was a little difficult, but we found one a few miles away from where the hike started. Once we were ready, we walked to the beginning. The first few minutes were easy, but as we got higher up, things started to get a little more steep. I don't have mountains where I live and barely any hills so I am not used to climbing something like I did that day. We got to the area around 3 or 4 and we made it to Cathedral Cove around 6. I think it took around 2 hours to get there.

Climbing that day was definitely a workout, so be prepared to be exhausted. Trust me, the view was amazing and I would definitely recommend to visit Cathedral Cove!

As we climbed our way through, youy can tell that the environment changes as you walk though the mountain. It was really cool to see how nature can do that. Sometimes you were in a forest like area, and then a few minutes later, you are around a large field with hills and some trees.

When we arrived, there were already a lot of people there. It wasn't too crowded. :)
